About
Chickadee Timber Frames:
Chickadee Timber Frames is a small, family-run business, owned and operated
by Eric and Julie Feilberg.
We procure our own logs from the local forests, and mill them into various
wood products on our Sawmill. We then use these products to build unique
timber frame or log structures as-well-as wide-plank wood flooring and
a variety of wood accent pieces for our customers.
Our wood products are procured solely from local wood source, and they
qualify as "Green Building Products".
We specialize in Timber frame and log porch additions and small timber
frame shelters. The small timber frame shelters can be used for a guest
cabin, retail kiosk, hiking trail rest stop, granny suite, garden feature,
potting shed, outside kitchen, sun shelter or whatever else you can imagine.

Personal Service, attention to detail and
constructing quality buildings is our mission.
About
the Craftsman:
I have lived in East Braintree, in the woods,
all of my life. My Grandfather Haakon was a pioneer in this area,
and my father Carl is a woodsman and still enjoys felling trees by hand
(they don't make em like they used to!!)
At an early age, I became involved in working in the forest. My
father taught me to fell trees and buck-up logs. I enjoyed finding
good use for what the forest yielded.
I
grew up learning the crafts of wood and metal working. I learned
how to turn raw logs into lumber by operating a sawmill for a good many
years.
In the early 1980's, I was introduced to Timber Frame construction.
The beauty of leaving the exposed timbers as part of the finished product
as well as the strength and durability, and the craftsmanship needed to
build these structures, had me hooked!
In
my mind, there are no other construction methods that can compare to the
impressive Timber Frame.
TIMBER FRAME IT!
